Why is left rear so hot when watching TV?

It can get so hot back there that I take it down. Could it be a defective fan? Sometimes I hear a little squeak.
Otherwise, this old T60 widescreen has been a champ for the 3-4 years I've been using it.

Could be the way you are sitting. Or you might have a boil back there.
