Can anyone help me verify the T60 UXGA part number

I need to replace my T60 display - it is currently the 1400x1050 SXGA+ Flexview IPS. I'd like to upgrade to a the BOEHydis UXGA - can anyone confirm the correct manufacturers part number as HV150UX1-102? I've also seen it as HV150UX1-101 and HV150UX1-100... The company selling me the display is insisting on a part number off the back of the display before shipping, but I cant give it to them unless I want an SXGA+ display back...

Hello,
The most common display found (P/N 13N7076) is the HV150UX1-100.
The HV150UX1-102 is also available in very small quantities and sold under P/N 13N7194. It differs from the HV150UX1-100 in the way it shows colors, but only very slightly. Some colors are remapped slightly (mainly blues) so that it follows the sRGB color space primaries (a scalar of these), but it has the same color gamut percentage as the HV150UX1-100.

The HV150UX1-101 was never used - it features no EDID. But i have heard of someone of the forum getting this panel to work without problems, although i don't get where it would get any timing parameters from, in order to display a picture.

Is there a significant price difference between the panels?

Troels,

Thanks. There is no price difference that I am aware of - I have a store credit from a prior return (their fault - they shipped the wrong panel for something else I ordered), but now they want to make sure they don't ship the "wrong" panel again, so they want me to pull the T60 apart and send them the actual part number - (I already sent them the FRU and that wasn't what they wanted) - basically they don't want to chance a return by me buying the wrong thing. Since I have a credit with them it doesn't make sense to go elsewhere, but if I am going to replace the screen I'd rather step up to UXGA. From what I have read here (and elsewhere) the BOEhydis seems to be the best option for what I am doing (photo editing)

Do you know if both the 100 and 102 are FFS?

Ah, I see, so they want to be 100% sure you get what you order this time.
Both 100, 102 and also 101 are FFS. If you need a data sheet for either of the panels, i can supply you with those.

Exactly. Datasheets would be great. Is there a way to determine if I will need to reflash the EDID on the EEPROM to make the switch. I've been assuming all along that once I swap the SXGA+ for a UXGA that the T60 will recognize it and boot up - perhaps I am oversimplifying...

You probably won't need to reflash unless the part originally came from a T42p, T43p or R50p. They used the same IDTech screen as some of the T60 machines, but the eeprom disn't have all the screen parameters
