Okay I just want to clarify just so I dont mess anything up. I am upgrading my standard motherboard to the T60p. For now I plan on just using the standard XGA screen on the T60p motherboard. From what I have read I dont have to do anything other than just hooking it up. I would however have to reprogram the LCD using Powerstrip if I was put a panel with higher than the UXGA resolution on it correct? But as long as I use the XGA, SXGA+ or UXGA that come on the T60 series I am okay. Thanks.

Yes, but the inverter card is different between screen versions on the T60P. The LCD cable is the same. I'd be very careful about swapping in non-Lenovo parts for the LCD itself. Dell LCD's for example have been known to blow motherboards in Thinkpads due to a ground pin in a different location on the connector.
