500 GB Drive in UltraBay Not Recognized Help!

#1 Post by GrandMasterKhan » Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:42 am

Just tried a new TravelStar 7200RPM 500GB in an Ultrabay. Not recognized. I did see W7 install drives for Hitachi something but the drive cant be seen after that. Any suggestions? BIOS setup? Too big? I'm not willing to swap it into the main drive just to test etc. just yet. The UltraBay light is on but the smaller green light is not on. No power? Don't know what those lights mean.

Somehwhere I read someone tried a Seagate and had to mess with jumper settings to slow the transfer speed down?
