I've got a t61 with a sata drive and no floppy. that I would like to do a fresh install of XP. I do not have the CD that cam with the system.
I have 30 legal copies of XP for my lab. High school in WA
When I use the XP CD I do not have the drivers for the sata drive on the cd.
I've selected "Compatible" rather than "AHCI" . Then I can see the drive but it comes up with an extra partition on the NTFS. EISA Utilities 6881 MB
If I install XP how can I install the drivers for the harddrive considering when set the bois to "Compatible" I can see the partition.
I s there a drive boot CD i can download?
Can install tyhe drivers from a USB drive or usb floopy?
Can I update the bois with a cd that has the drivers?
By the way . I have learned a boat load about windows from this site.
HiJack This and ProcessExlorer are used on all of our system. I was pointed to those apps from this forum.
