t60p maximum RAM speed?

My t60p currently has 2GB of DDR2 667. I understand the maximum amount of RAM I can have is 3gb, but is it compatible with DDR2 800?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, I did some searching but couldn't find an answer.

I might be wrong, but I think it doesn't matter the speed rating of the RAM you use, it will always run at 667MHz.

I thought so, I know the CPU FSB is 800mhz, but I don't think the will be able to match it in this instance.

definitely can be used in your machine.
the memory will automatic degrade sequence and match yours.

No, it's 667 MHz.
