I'm wondering if I can upgrade my T60 (1953-E4U) hdd to a later SATA II (3.0Gbps) generation hdds. My current hdd is "Toshiba MK1032GSX 100G SATA 1.5Gbps"

My motherboard info:
Chipset: i945GM
Southbridge: 82801GHM (ICH7-M/U) Rev. 3
BIOS: 79ETE3WW (2.23 version)

Also if it is ok to upgrade, is there any special procedure to worry about when clone/restore my old hdd backup to my new one?

Thanks!

Yes, but the T60/p will continue to operate the drive at 1.5Gbps -- not that it makes any discernible difference! When cloning the old drive, remove the old drive from the T60/p, place the new drive in the primary drive bay and place the old drive in the secondary drive bay or in a USB enclosure.

I had issues with a WD, lots of blue screens. The Hitachi I have now seems to work ok with my t61p I'd stick with a 320GB sata I drive just to be safe.

The reason why I'm asking is I just swap my Macbook Toshiba 160G SATA II drive out and wondering if I can replace it for my T60 100G SATA I Toshiba.
