Hi All i recently purchased a job lot of these Docks but unfortunately 3 of them are locked & were supplied with incorrect keys. I know that it is possible to get replacement keys for them from
http://www.itxchange.com/itxchange/correlationNum.asp? but not sure if it is worthwhile going to the expense & trouble & being based in the UK wondered if there may be an alternative.
Thanks

The real question is this: Do you really need the keys? I think there is no master key, but locking to the dock doesn't provide much additional security. The dock can be attached to a desk with a security cable, but if you want to see how secure that is, look here:

The problem is that when the dock is locked, it is unusable - you cannot connect a laptop to it.
So either one needs to order the replacement keys, or just pick the lock once and forget about it.

Sorry. I misunderstood. I missed the fact that they were locked. It would be nice if I could read.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys, Yes they are locked so not usable & the company i linked to seem to want around £11 per set plus a small fortune in P&P to send replacements. May be a good idea actually to find a way to pick them, shame im not friendlywith a local locksmith

Try the keys from the other docks, perhaps they fit?
If so, have a duplicate made.
Worst case, drill the lock center out to open them, and you can still use them.

I have a series T4x Mini dock that was sold used without a key. It was broken by the seller in such a way that the keyhole does precisely nothing. Apparenly brute force on the unlock button is all you need )). Don't know about the t6x, they seem to be better built and the key actually serves an electronic purpose as well. Disassemble & look.

Thanks for the tips, i have tried the others keys & no joy im afraid, i am not particularly good with my hands so not sure if i am up to a dissasemble? maybe i will take to a locksmith next week see if he can do a good price? Otherwise i could try the drilling method or extreme brute force on the unlock button as suggested but am a bit worried if the key serves an electronic purpose?
