Hello there
I really hope you can help.
My problem: I've one Lenovo ThinkPad T60, since 2 weeks ago I have to extract the CD-ROM device to be able to start Windows, I mean, if the computer is off and the CD-ROM device in plugged in Windows only reach the progress bar then the HardDisk led stop and happens nothing!
Please you help, I will appreciate it.
Thanks

What version of Windows are you running? Have you tried to boot in Safe Mode to see if the problem persists?

you might also check the startup order in your bios. as a test, if the cd drive is listed first, temporarily move it below your hdd and see if you get a completed boot.

Hi
I did the test, I changed the primary boot device to be the HDD but no results, the problem is still there.

drat!
do you have a friend with a similar thinkpad, so that you could try their cd drive in your machine? that might pinpoint your problem to the drive rather something more systemic.
