T60 dual boot

Just boosted the 1.5GB to 3.0GB. Running XP Pro, never got the "free" Vista upgrade disk. But I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit upgrade disk with key and aim to soon do the upgrade. The HD is only 60GB.

I have some software that won't run in Windows 7, other software that probably won't (won't know until I try). So, I'm thinking of multibooting XP and Windows 7.

Is 60GB enough HD space for this scenario?

What's the minimum HD space I can allocate to XP and still not get into trouble?

Will I have any difficulties installing the Lenovo utilities, drivers, etc. if I multiboot in this scenario?

If I do this multiboot, do I have to install XP first?

Not SURE WHAT Apps you have that 'wont run in Win7?? but as far as I know , most ALL commercial, Packaged Apps that are out there WILL RUN in Win7 Prof or above( not sure of Win7 Starter)
So I think Xp /Win7 DUAL BOOT be a waiste of time!
but then I am no Windows expert!!

I'm not talking about supported apps. I have Nero 6, which runs in XP, not Vista, and I'm sure not Win7. I also use a utility a great deal that hasn't been supported since ~ Windows 2000. It works OK in XP, for the most part, considerably less in Vista. It's true that I can't have my cake and eat it too as far as that utility goes, but I could boot to XP at those times when I just want to use Nero 6.

Maybe I'll just install Windows 7 and look around for something cheap or free that will let me copy CDs using CD Text. I suppose there's a freebie.
