Basic question

#1 Post by kneedeep » Thu Mar 11, 2010 8:41 pm

I have only a little experience with Thinkpads, my first, an A30 just died and I'm researching a newer model.
I'm looking at a T60 and have a question about the storage controller.

The specs say "Storage Controller Type Serial ATA/IDE"

Does this mean that the machine will accept either a SATA or an IDE drive?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

Serial ATA means SATA.

T6x machines will only accept SATA laptop drives in the main bay.
