My daughter has a T61p (8891CTO) with the advanced port replicator (not dock). The computer has started to lock up and blue screen intermittently when hot undocking (using the correct procedures). No Turbo memory, no 3D apps. I've seen posts on this with XP but not with Vista. Any ideas?

Not sure if this will help .....
but I do remember reading about a 'fix' that IBM/Lenovo has had for this PROBLEM. All i know its caused by 'residual static charge' not able to dissapiate correctly. We have had a number of the T6x series with the SAME ISSUE before this fix was applied.
The 'fix' was really a PRODUCT RECALL "FIX" - in short they put some 'isolating rubber boots' in the metal 'prongs' in the DOCKS and it fixed the BSOD!!

So search at IBM Supprt site for that , and sure you WILL FIND it
(also try the Lenovo Community - sister site of this)

Well, Lenovo shipped out a complete insulation accessory pack (about 100 bucks worth of parts) which was supposed to have included the little rubbe insulators but didn't! I'm beginning to think they don't make the insulators any more (the free supply program technically ended last september but I would think they are obligated to fix the problem while the computer is under warranty (?)

I'll call them again tomorrow.

You should be able to put some shrinkwrap tube on those EMI fingers.
My $0.02 solution...

Now there's a good idea if all else fails!
