Stuck with bluetooth on T61p..... FINALLY SOLVED !!!!!

#1 Post by Yacek » Mon Apr 05, 2010 5:23 pm

Hello folks,

Finally i decided to use bluetooth device in my T61p. Tired with usb cabling to connect my Nokia 5800 every time and having bought BT headphones would be nice to have it operational. However... it does not work.

Everything seems to be OK, latest drivers and software from lenovo side installed (dated 2009, released for T500.. Broadcom latest drivers package cannot install saying that no device is detected.... ). BT icon is in tray, services running... BT devices present in device manager with no question marks etc.... even high quality BT sound virtual device. But the point is that software does not detect ANY BT devices in my laptop (control panel/devices and printers). No BT external devices are being detected (mobile or headphones....). I have read all posts here related to BT, tried every suggestion and solution provided... no luck :(
BT seems to present, but no working at all. Does any1 has/had the similar problems?

OS= Win7 Prof x64

EDIT:

After three weeks with Bluesoleil software (was working perfectly, but evaluation period and 2MB limit was about to end), I noted the latest release of BT drivers & software by Lenovo (7zbv15ww.exe). Finally this latest release works OK with T61p and Win7 x64, my Nokia and headphones has been detected and linked.

I had the same problem with my Nokia 6131. I tried every possible solution found by Google searches to no aval. I gave up, dumped the Lenovo driver package and installed BlueSoleil 6, certified for Win 7, and after a bit of tinkering I have a solid connection and Nokia PC Suite is happy.

I did not try BlueSoleil 6... any reliable link to download the package? I googled it but found only some portals when you have to register to dwnl anything.. and I hate it as I gett plenty of spam then (after registration)

And yes, BT is ON (Fn+F5) :-)

Get yourself a few Google Gmail addresses and use those for registrations. Then let Google/Gmail worry about spam.

Yeah!!!! Bluesoleil 6.4.305 (Win7 release) solved the problem!!!!! :-)

It removed crappy Lenovo drivers and software and installed its own stuff. Now it works perfectly, found my mobile and headphones!
BIG THANKS mate!

BTW - Cancun - should be nice place.. I'm gonna be there this year participating in climate change conference (which is a real disaster^^)
