Trackpoint scrolling doesn't work after resume hibernate

Doh!
The TrackPoint in my T61 was working very nicelly (I've disabled the TouchPad in the BIOS), except sometimes when I resumed from hibernating Vista, the very useful scrolling feature stopped working (mouse cursor doesn't change shape to scroll version when holding down center TrackPoint button etc).
I found that if this happened, I could re-enable the scrolling by ending and reloading the SynTPEnh.exe process (I added this to Vista's Quick Launch list).
A while ago I switched to the latest UltraNav drivers and felt the accuracy of positioning the mouse cursor took a serious nose dive, despite trying various settings, so I reverted to the old drivers and couldn't get the accuracy back (I kept overshooting the thing I was trying to position the mouse cursor on)...
However, just recently I switched to the latest drivers again (version 14.0.18.0, perhaps updated since I last tried this) and the accuracy seems ok
, but the scrolling is failing more often than before
.
Has anyone else encountered this scrolling issue? If you have a permanent solution that would be great.
