T61 replace wide screen by 4:3 possible ?

Sorry if the question has already been asked. I've looked everywhere in the forum but did not find the answer.

Is it possible to replace a widescreen by a 4:3 screen if I buy a new bezel ?
I'd like to replace a WXGA (or SWXGA) by a SXGA+

Not possible, the widescreen has a wider frame and the hinges would not line up.

Unfortunately not. You might be interested in a T60 or T60p, which are still hugely popular. You could upgrade the CPU to a 64-bit Core 2 Duo, and/or put an 802.11n WiFi card in. Windows 7 is also very fast on them, and there are still (although dwindling fast) some out there with some warranty left.
