T60 Mobo-Problems

hi,

i have strange issues with my T60: i have very strange artefacts on my display - from booting - looks like the GPU is bad:

"PC-Doctor"-tests at VIDEO ADAPTER TEST says:

- Video Memory: FAILED
- Video Pages: PASSED
- ATI RadeonMobility 2D Test: FAILED
- ATI RadeonMobility 3D Test: FAILED
- ATI RadeonMobility Memory Test: FAILED
- ATI RadeonMobility Quick Test: FAILED
- ATI RadeonMobility PCIE Test: PASSED

The Testlog-Summary says:
- 005-199-000-20100408-12-Video Subsystem: Failed (Video Memory)

The Thermal-Sensor of the GPU says the temperature is always between 65 and 70 degrees - although i am not running grafic-intense applications at all

I think the GPU is finished - no? So i have to exchange the Mobo?

What Systemboards are compatible with mine? I have the following Notebook:

T60, 2007-63G, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (1400x1050)

anyone know where i can get inexpensive replacement-mobo?

many thanks in advance

There are several mobos for your machine.
Your current mobo with X1400 has 128MB video RAM, the X1300 has 64MB video RAM. The Intel GPU can use up to 256MB shared regular RAM.
If you don't need the horsepower of the X1400, a mobo with X1300 would work fine, and even one with Intel integrated Video.
All of them can drive your SXGA+ LCD.
You could try our Marketforum, place a WTB (want to buy) ad.

I have fully tested motherboards for sale.

I have one ATI 128MB X1400 motherboard just like yours and several ATI 64MB X1300 motherboards. Both would work just fine in your T60, of course the X1400 would cost more.

I am located in the USA. PM me if you are interested.
