Windows 7 USB Drivers / Enhanced Host Controller

I am tearing my hair out here...
My device manager shows all USB Root Hub devices as USB 1.1, except for a single root hub that has 8 ports.
As a result, the USB ports on the left and right of my laptop are not configured as USB 2.0, and run super slow. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the devices many times.
I have tried the WinXP chipset driver, the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox, the Lenovo System Update, Windows Update, all to no avail... the devices are still listed as:
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27C8
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27C9
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27CA
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27CB
whereas the one USB2 hub is listed as
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 27CC
Everything I have found so far indicates that these ports on the left and right are USB2. I am almost certain they were USB2 for XP.
The last thing I am about to try is to update the BIOS.
Anyone else running Windows 7 on their T60? Are your ports configured as USB2?
You can check this in the device manager, by right-clicking all the hubs, and on the advanced tab, it will say 'full speed' for USB 1.1, and 'high speed' for USB2. Or, just check the Universal Host Controllers to see if they say "Enhanced" on them.
Any other suggestions would be great...
Thanks!
