Replacement palm rest part number

Hi.

I've managed to break some plastic on the corner of my palm rest, and looking for replacement. The part number for my model is 42W3011, which is kinda expensive - around $120-140. However, on ebay i've found much cheaper similar part, which has totally different part number - 26R9411. Does anybody knows if they are compatible ?

You need to include your model (7 characters), screen size and whether or not you have a fingerprint reader

I cannot find 26R9411. My guess is that it is a the number for the plastic piece that is used to make the palmrest assembly and it is not an assembly part number. Ask the seller what is the length and width of the unit (to determine if it is for a 4 : 3 machine (like yours) or a wide model. Also make sure it has the fingerprint reader. My notes show these as the compatible numbers are 42W3139, 42W3011, 41V9908, but those are just my notes, so no guarantee.

If you google it, or look on ebay - there is a lot of hits. And the seller description says it's for 15" model with FRP and this is palm rest+screen bezel kit. I think it *should* be the same, but you can never be sure with the Big Blue

The part numbers should be in the manual. Did you download it and take a look based on model and screen size?

Of course i did, this is what my post is about. The part with the part number from the manual (42W3011) is really expensive - $120-140 for a piece of plastic. While looking for cheaper alternative i've found a part which looks very much what i need, but much cheaper and having a totally different part number - 26R9411. I'm trying to figure out if those parts are compatible or not.

your best bet is to contact the seller and ask them rather than to have people here guess for you or do your research. that way you also have recourse if you end up buying and have the wrong part. if you are in russia, im not sure it should be exported to you either. i hope its for commerical use.
