low voltage CPU swap? U7700

There's a socket-m 10W merom cpu, the U7700... I wonder if it would work in a T60p flashed for core2duos...

Would this result in significant power and heat savings?

I saw a Dell E430 with one of these. It got kind of toasty as I recall. I'm not sure if that was the lack of a good cooling system or the chip itself.
