T61p Intel Wireless Wifi Link 4965 AGN driver upgrade

Hi,
I have T61p (XP 32bit) with wifi Intel Wireless Wifi Link 4965 AGN. Recently I tried to upgrade driver to version 13.xxxx but after installing the driver the wifi card doesn't work. To make it work I had to revert the driver to version lower then 13. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I had a similar problem with a 4965 driver upgrade on my T61P but it was running Windows 7 32 bit. Happened about a month ago. I reported it to Lenovo and despite the fact that the rolled back driver improved the situation, they sent a tech out to replace my network card. Great service but I still think the new driver had issues. I've since upgraded the O/S to Windows 64 bit and have encounted no driver issues with the 4965 card.

I'm going to upgrade OS to Windows 7 64bit too, so it's good news there is no such problem. Thanks.

I've been running Windows 7 64 Bit for about a month now and I'm very impressed. I found 4GB memory sticks that work with the chipset in the 6459 type and 8GB of RAM gives me a lot of freedom to run VMWare machines for development and testing. I recommend that you stay away from 64 bit versions of Office though, none of the add-ins or 3rd party integration points work with it. Good luck!
