Quick Questions

I just got a 1951-FDG model of the T60.
I have some questions.
It has a lot of stuff missing; palmrest, mouse,HDD, HDD caddy,PSU, Some keys.

My first question is can I just slot any 2.5" HDD in it?
I have got some PC2-4200s RAM with it, will that work?
It does not come with a fingerprint reader will I need to buy that for it to work or can I just ignore it?
I have a UJDA755 DVD drive from a T40, I slotted it in and it seems to fit will that be fine?
It says on the site I have 1 month warranty left will that help with my problems?

Thanks

- any 2.5" SATA HDD will work (as long as it has no more than 9.5mm height, otherwise it will not fit inside, if I'm not wrong).
- you will need PC2-5300 667MHz DDR2 RAM, PC2-4200 RAM will not work, most probably
- it is not manadatory to have a palmrest with fingerprint sensor, a plamrest without a fingerprint sensor should be fine
- you can use any optical drive from T4x series, the only problem is a cosmetic one - the curved bezel of the T4x's drive (T60's optical drives have a flat bezel)
- I don't think so :) - regarding your question about warranty

It has to be a SATA drive, but any of those should work.
It should work.
Your machine will function just fine without the fingerprint reader. They're a convenience feature in my opinion.
The bezels won't line up, but drive should work.
You can probably get a new keyboard and perhaps the palm rest, but you'll probably have to buy the rest of the parts.
