Antenna Poll. Which antenna and why?
Antenna Poll. Which antenna and why?
Seeing as the LCD can only hold one antenna, it seems the choice are:
Wireless N (3 wire/extra coverage/more card options)
or
WWAN (2 wire with keyboard/more card options/extra coverage?)
If you HAD to choose one to put in, which would it be and why?

Re: Antenna Poll. Which antenna and why?
Wireless N is pretty useless you do a lot of transfer over your network. My router happens to be N, but I haven't bothered upgrading my thinkpad or any other machine on the network because I don't need the extra speed. My internet connection tops out around 20mbps so G is just fine.
Do you actually plan on using WWAN?

I am going to install WWAN as I had situations when I've been in countries where the access for wifi has been limited. At at least with WWAN, I could have the option of getting a connection if I ever needed to, which means I could travel to other destinations without worrying if I can get online or not.

For T6x with N, there are 3 antennae for WiFi, 2 for WWAN, 1 BT, 1 wideband. There are antennae in all 4 sides of the LCD cover.Worzyl wrote:Seeing as the LCD can only hold one antenna, it seems the choice are:

So do you actually need wifi N or not? Sounds like WWAN will be useful for you.Worzyl wrote:

I do have WWAN in my T60 but have never used it.
Re: Antenna Poll. Which antenna and why?
At first, I thought of using the LCD slot for the N antenna, but I think that WWAN would probably be more useful.vinuneuro wrote:
