T60p keyboard issues

Hi, Subject machine is new to me today type 8743, model FKE5 running XP Pro. First little issue is the ThinkVantage button seems to be moribund both in Windoze & at Startup.
Second is a couple of issues with the Trackpoint/Touchpad. I'm accustomed to using the trackpoint exclusively on my old T42p & would like to disable the touchpad in order to avoid inadvertent activity resulting from the heel of my hand resting near the buttons; that's easily done from the UltraNav tab under Mouse Properties in the Contol Panel on the T42p, but there's no such tab there for the T60p. Is there a workaround?
The other issue with the Trackpoint is that I'm unable to scroll within documents or webpages using the center TrackPoint button. Can't seem to find any setting to enable that either. Any clues?

I might learn to live with the first two issues above but the last is a real deal killer.

Thx, -joe

Those settings are located in the UltraNav Wizard.

Thx goof. Just found the Wizard at Lenovo; I'll dig out the driver as well and give it a whirl. I was able to disable the TouchPad in Bios and oddly now that it's back in Windoze, center button scrolling is working as well. Go figure. :)

The cause of the non-responsive Thinkvantage button is one of the following. 1.) The recovery partition is missing. 2.) The recovery partition is corrupt. 3.) The recovery partition is intact but the mbr is corrupt. 4.) The recovery partition is intact but Thinkvantage Rescue and recovery is not loaded. If the recovery partition is missing or corrupt you'll need a set of recovery discs to rebuild it, in which case you'll also lose everything on the drive when it's re-loaded with the factory image, so back up important data first.

Thx. Machine came to me from IBM as a refurb. Rescue & Recovery can be accessed at Start Up. There's a secondary partition of ~3.27GB on the hdd which presumably contains their preloaded basic recovery kit. Does this sound like something I should contact them about while it's still under warranty?
