What TP after the T60?

What TP should I be thinking of to replace my venerable T60 widescreen? I use it regularly for TV, so I want a nice display.

It's overheating a little, so I worry about it's lifetime. Otherwise it's fine, has enough power and memory for my needs.

I want to get another widescreen, and I'm willing to give up the Ultra-bay Slim because I don't use it much.

Should I be looking at a different letter series?

A little more info would be helpful. New or used? What do you want to spend. (Choices are different for budgets of $300 or $3000) Your wide T60 is 15'4". Your choices of sizes for wide models are probably 14.1" or 15.4". Which seems better?

What does the t60 have as far as CPU and graphics go? You could possibly check out the R61 or R61i.

If you want a good display the T510 with the FHD seems like a good option.

Have you looked into the cause of your T60 overheating? It might be a really simple fix and you could get a few more years out of it.
