Undervolt utility to cool down our Thinkpads CPUs

#1 Post by Yacek » Sun Jul 11, 2010 5:27 am

Hi all,
As recently high temperatures hit my city (Warsaw) exceeding 30C, I noted that CPU temps became higher and the fan had a lot of work to do. After some searching the web I found a small utility that works great for me. I tested it on my T61p with Win7 x64 with no issue. Withi this, I managed to cool-down my CPU by 5-8 C without any noticeable perfomance issues.

Take a look here for software description:

x64 users: don't forget to download and copy newer x64 drivers data to make this work properly (can be downloaded from the link at the bottow of the post cited above).

good luck.
