How can I tell if t60p is flexview?
I'm thinking of getting a 15" UXGA T60p, but having not seen the laptop, I don't know if the display is flexview IPS.
Is every 15" UXGA t60p automatically flexview? Otherwise, when I go look at the laptop, what signs will tell me if it is flexview?

All T60p UXGA are originally Flexview, so unless the screen has been replaced with a third party screen, it is.
Vertical viewing angles are a dead giveaway. On an IPS screen there will be no distortion of colors. On a TN it will be very noticeable.

Look at the photos in this link: http://forum.notebookreview.com/6470413-post2237.html
That's how you can easily spot an IPS/flexview screen.
Great view from any angle.

Scroll down to the last few pix that I uploaded. That G41 had a decent screen by TN standards, but obviously paled in comparison with the R50p's Flexview screen.

You can always purchase a T60/T60p 15", then replace it with a FlexView Screen panel, if so desired.
My T60p had a LG Philips LP150E05 (A2)(K1) SXGA+(1400x1050) screen which was dim and yellow, due to its age.

So when I replaced it with a BOE HyDis HV150UX1-100 UXGA. Some people may find the 1600x1200 to be too much but you can always adjust the display. The BOE Hydis, according to many people, does not have this yellowing over time.

It was a straight swop, worked perfectly, now the T60p is much brighter, with Windows XP Pro SP3.
NB: Both the above Linked screen panels are FlexView, the LG is IPS and the BOE HyDis is AFFS. There may be some sellers with similar BOE HyDis panels ending -101, these do not work ! be sure it is -100.
