T60 will not charge via AC adapter or docking station

Hi all,
I've spent the last few hours searching through old threads on here, but none have seemed to address my particular issue. I have a 3 year and 1 month old T60 (convenient warranty timing
) that suddenly stopped accepting a charge. The battery is a 3 month old OEM 9 cell, and I don't think the battery is the problem since the computer worked for several hours on the battery's charge after I discovered the charging problem.
When I have the AC adapter plugged in, the indicator light does not come on (the standby and battery lights are functioning). I have tried removing the battery and running it on just the AC adapter and had no luck. I tried removing the battery and doing the ten presses of the power button trick and that didn't work. I also attached it to a docking station and it still refused to charge. The docking station power button was able to turn on the laptop when I had it connected, though (when the battery still had some juice remaining).
From what I've read, it seems like something is wrong with the motherboard. Has anyone experienced similar problems, and does anyone have any idea about what it might cost to repair it? I have loved this computer and really can't afford a new one, let alone one that will be as rugged and reliable as my thinkpad.
Thanks in advance.
