Boot (T61p) from SD card?

Has anyone successfully booted from SD card in either the integrated reader or a USB reader (e.g., SanDisk MicroMate)? My T61p will boot from a USB flash drive, but I would prefer the integrated reader as a matter of convenience. I've successfully created Recovery Media on 8GB SDHC card with Rescue & Recovery 4.3, but haven't been able to get BIOS Boot to recognize it with "+USB HDD" (instead of "-USB HDD") or have it appear in the F12 list of boot devices. USB BIOS is enabled, and Windows 7 shows the partition as Active Primary. Thanks.
