If you can't find something, two of the very best places to go are the forum search and google.

Dont be an [censored], he's asking for people's opinions for the best place to find a good battery. There are lots of overpriced places, unreliable sellers, and poor quality batteries. A response like yours isn't accomplishing anything.
I tend to go with ebay for best prices but you have to be careful. I try and stay away from generic batteries from China and stick to genuine batteries. If new isn't available or is overpriced, make sure to ask the buyer about the remaining capacity in Wh (not colors or hours, too subjective).

I can respect that, and any other situation I would have given a constructive and helpful response. However,

This tells me that he is aware that there are multiple topics concerning this, but is too lazy to try and find help yourself, and expect others to do so for him. Your language is most certainly not helping either.

Exactly what I would do, and have done in the past.

For all those "lazy" people, use and bookmark this instead of the Forum-Search button:

It's the best search routine on TPF, made by our mod

@ sparta.rising, thank you for your kindness and understanding. Just curious to know if you are a hockey fan and if so are you a Bruins fans? I am from Montréal but have been a Boston Bruin fan since day 1. I guess one Bruin fan helping another. Thanks again for your help, kindness and insight.

@hunterman223, the pen is mighter than the sword. It is easier to catch bees with honey instead of vinigar. Just for your personal information, well being and personal culture, I found and find your posts un-necessarily offensive. Also, I am not lazy.
Just one more thing that is bothering me, I don't like people who are judgemental, bullies, like to read in-between the lines and are always looking for the last word. Let's end this here, please, or do you want and have a need for the last word.

I am sure you are not lazy, just the nature of your first post was seemingly so. I am sorry if I have offended you, that was not my intention, although it may seem so.

Neither do I, and I am not normally like this.

Ha, yeah. Seriously though, ebay would be your best bet. Buy only genuine IBM/Lenovo batteries, and stay away from anything saying "Compatible With" or "From China". Nothing against China, but most of their batteries tend to pose a somewhat major safety risk for you and your laptop. Common problems are leaks, explosion, and fire. Sounds nice eh?

You can upload it to a sit like imageshack or picasa, then put a *PIC warning in the title and use the [img] tag to show it here.

I purchased a genuine Lenovo 9 cell for my T61 on Ebay for $89 shipped....good deal. Seller was "notebookelite" Most of the aftermarket ones are garbage, so be careful.

I found a "used" battery for my T61 on eBay a couple of months ago. I think it was $45 delivered. The battery had one cycle count and was made by Sanyo
I've purchased a couple other items from this guy and had good experienceds each time. His user ID is rrr.enterprise

Hey Chad, mind if I ask how the 9-cell battery has fared in the past several months? Still working well?
Thanks!
