VGA Output gone bad?

My wife has a T60 and the VGA out has stopped working after having it hooked up to our LCD TV for watching Netflix. It worked for a long time then after disconnecting it one morning, that night the VGA output was dead. It is not a software issue as we have explored all software options that could cause it. It is also not a cable issue. Is it possible to repair or replace the VGA port? If so, what would need to be repaired or replaced?
