hi. i just had my t60p repaired in authorized service overseas and they forgot to copy in my model and serial # (which i have) but after speaking with ibm today they told me to "write it into the system" i need maintenance disk v1.73 or higher. They told me only authorized service centers have this but when i called my local authorized centers, none had it. I really dont want to lose my ibm t60p for like a week by sending it to Depot, so can anyone tell me where i can download it or obtain it? while the t60p works perfectly i am unable to auto update without entering correct info each time. Thanks. I much appreciate it.

hi Reid;
as a suggestion if your machine is STILL UNDER WARRANTY; I would 'highly recommend' you send it for DEPOT REPAIR to have the ;model& S/N: update done.
If you NOT sure what you doing- you would 'brick' that laptop - and also most likely void your warranty.
SMD = not something that is NOT EASY to use nor does this forum encorage one to get via here. its a Lenovo COPYRIGHT software AFAIK.
Cheers

As Ausmike said, we won't allow discussion here of where to get the HMD. It is proprietary software belonging to Lenovo. Thread locked.
