Ultrabay Max speed?

Hi,
I'm getting about 250MB/s on the main drive and on the Ultrabay I'm only getting 80MB/s max. I was wondering what the theoretical maximum speed of that slot is. I know it has a PATA to SATA bridge and that adds overhead, but I thought I'd get more than 80 MB/s. Do you guys know how fast that bay is? Thanks.

George

For the T6X? Isn't that technically still an IDE slot which means max is 133MB/s

I have no idea. I was hoping to find that out. I have an SSD that is only getting 80 MB/s so wanted to make sure that it was my drive and not the laptop.

Hi All,
The best I can do on this drive is:

--------------------------------------------------
CrystalDiskMark 2.2 (C) 2007-2008 hiyohiyo
Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/
--------------------------------------------------

Sequential Read : 88.029 MB/s
Sequential Write : 64.104 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 80.978 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 63.938 MB/s
Random Read 4KB : 18.942 MB/s
Random Write 4KB : 16.016 MB/s

Test Size : 100 MB
Date : 2010/10/04 10:09:19

Do you guys know how I can get the closer to the theoretical maximum, or at least over 100MB/s? The drive I have in there is rater much faster than this. Thanks.
