How do I find my BIOS password?

I started getting an error message and Windows wouldn't load. It was "2100, Initialization error on HDD0"

So I thought I had a bad HD. I wanted to change it out for a larger one anyhow, so no big deal. I took it to someone to swap out for me, and he said it was asking for the BIOS password. I have no idea what the BIOS password is, or even that I had one. Is there a generic password from the factory?

No, there is no "default" password. Was this a system that you purchased new or was it used?

Then there may have been a supervisor (BIOS) password on the system. You will not know if there's one set unless you actively attempt to access it (pressing the F1 key at boot) or if the CMOS battery is removed/goes dead (the loss of system time would force you into BIOS to reset it). Best advice I can give would be to contact the previous owner and ask for the password. Public discussions on hacking into the passowrd system is not permitted by forum rules.

Probably so. The factory suggestion would be to replace the motherboard. Check your Inbox for a message.
