When unplugging power cable i get "Windows Error Recovery"

When unplugging power cable i get "Windows Error Recovery"

When windows is up and running and i unplug the power cable the screen goes black and then comes up with some message that windows didnt shut down properly and then i am taken to the Windows Error Recovery screen. What gives? Help please?
T60p running Windows 7
Have been running windows 7 on it for a year with no issues.
Thinkpad T60p (2007-84U)
CPU Swap: Core Duo T2600 replaced with Core 2 Duo T7600@2.33Ghz

Sounds to me like a power management issue OR a battery that's near dead.
See if you can update the PM drivers and check the battery status.

power manager software up to date. Battery says its ok. I ordered a new one. This only just started happening and doesnt happen everytime i unplug. cant figure it out.
