Cooling a lapdesk

Sorry. I was at a loss for words.

I use my T60p like a desktop. I built a pull-out for it under my center desk drawer. I'm noticing that the pull-out gets pretty warm on the bottom and I had already wondered if I shouldn't provide more air circulation for a computer designed to be out in the open.

I can cut a two or three inch hole in the shelf of the pull-out, but I'm having trouble figuring out just where to put it in relation to the bottom of the computer. It isn't at all clear how the T60p circulates air, where and which way. Suggestions?

The intakes are at the bottom of the laptop, the exhaust vents are at the back and back left sides of the case.

Uh, as I said:
"I can cut a two or three inch hole in the shelf of the pull-out, but I'm having trouble figuring out just where to put it _in relation to_ the bottom of the computer."

So, yes, it is the _bottom_ of the computer I was speaking of when I said "bottom." The bottom of the T60p does sit on the top of the pull out shelf.

I'm not sure what part of your reply tells me where would be the best place under the bottom of the T60p to cut a two or three inch air hole to do the most good.
