What could be wrong with Graphics?

#1 Post by Param » Sun Oct 03, 2010 8:34 pm

I currently run Windows 7 on my Thinkpad T61 (6459 CTO) having Nvidia Quadro 140M 128MB Graphics, the problem i face after the OS upgrade was garbled display when i play games like Age of Empires and F22 Raptor, but i was able get decent display for Trainz Simulator. What could be wrong? Do i have to change any graphics settings? I was able to play the AOE and F22 Raptor fine when i had Windows Vista Home Premium, the OS with which my laptop was initially shipped.

Thanks in advance

I have a 6459-CTO which is a t61p and it is equipped with the 570M 256MB NVIDIA card. I didn't know you could get a T61p with the smaller card.

@Param:
you have the dreaded nVidia GPU problem.

Only solution is get another motherboard, but then look for one with integrated Intel graphics instead.
