System Update Issues

Everytime I use system update 4 to do updates. It crashes with message an error occured while gathering user information . I have already removed and reinstalled but it still crashes. Laptop is running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit.

.net framework seems to be the culprit.

It probably applies to W7 as well.
