T61p Lid Sensor Trouble

I've run into a frustrating issue with my T61p lately. I've discovered, after a week or so of my laptop mysteriously waking in my bag and trying to toast itself, that my lid sensor is being tripped when any pressure is applied to the back of the lid, about in the middle where the LEDs are located. Basically, if I squeeze there when it's closed (which I often do, as that's how I put the laptop into my bag), it will wake the machine.

As I had recently been inside the machine a couple times, I reseated the keyboard bezel in hopes that the magnet placement was a little off. It seems less sensitive now, but it's still a problem. I'm not convinced replacing the sensor in the lid would resolve the issue, so I'm looking for suggestions. This is a very frustrating issue, as I currently either have to risk the machine waking in the bag and toasting, or hibernate it every time I go somewhere...

Hold a magnet on the sensor and sleep the machine. Now press on the magnet. Does it wake? If yes, you need to replace the magnet sensor. On a T61, I think that is on the Inverter, but I am not positive.

I've played with it and I'm having a hard time confirming it's the lid sensor. I may just replace the inverter to see if it fixes it. Is there anything else it could be? If I'm gonna replace parts I want to make sure it's gonna fix it. I'm definitely not thrilled about having to hibernate my machine anytime I take it anywhere...
