T60P Video issues

Hello one & all:
I formated and loaded my T60P with Windows 7 and then went out and got the various drivers from Lenovo. I'm having one issue which I can't seem to resolve. I've noticed even though I have the desktop set to 1024 x 768 like on my T60, the icons are somewhat too large. I tried to go into the video area but can't make the icons any smaller.
I use the Catalyst control center on my T60 with windows 7, but can't seem to locate it for my T60P. The Catalyst gives additionaly options with repect to adjusting contrast and color.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
