Any advice where to get a new palmrest? I don't object to "good" used.

I actually ordered directly from the IBM spare parts locally here earlier today, but the palmrest wasn't in stock - so let's see. The price was ~$89 (inluding 25% VAT). For me it would end up costing $110 including import taxes and fees, so didn't pull the trigger.

If you do away with that silly fingerprint reader, it's even $20.- cheaper!

Appears as if IBM/Lenovo no longer stocks the 42W3011 palmrest. Instead they shipped me a 42W3139. I couldn't find any documents containing this part number - but it's identical, except the IBM logo is replaced by a Thinkpad Tseries logo, like on all recent thinkpads. The manufacture date is 1st of July 2010, while it was boxed 1st of September.
So, they are probably still manufacturing parts for the T60.

Troels: Quick question. Is the indentation for the logo still the same shape, so that an IBM logo will fit in there, or have they changed that too?

EDIT: By the way, it doesn't come with any Intel, ATI or Microsoft stickers.

But atleast the trade-off regarding the new sticker is better than the keyboard they sent me. I made sure to order a not-in-stock NMB part number, but as they wanted to send the parts as quickly to me as possible, they sent me... a Chicony.

. Going to return it first thing monday morning if they can't do a special order on either an Alps or NMB.

the indentation is identical, the palm rests are the same part whether they say IBM or not, if you get the newer version that just says Thinkpad and you want the IBM logo that fits perfectly, you can get it here!

Or cheaper: use the IBM logo from the old palmrest. It's only glued in and comes out fairly easy.
