I would say that having one of these two GPUs is the only thing that makes a T60p a "p".
believe all other options were available via CTO or otherwise for a T60.

"Ever" is a strong word. IBM sold the T60 machines and their biggest market was users of their mainframe computers. Customers bought CTO models in large lots and they could be configured hower they were ordered. I got a T60p wide-screen in for repair once that came with an X1400. When I looked up the parts list online, it showed the X1400, but it doesn't say whether the original configuration had a T60p clearplate (the marking on the LCD) or that was changed by a previous owner.
