T60 turns on with dimmed display

My T60 turns on with the display fully dimmed and I need to manually adjust its brightness. It’s never really bothered me since it's run docked 99% of the time and the external display always comes on at full brightness.

I have looked at the BIOS settings and ATI Catalyst and cannot find anything. Any clues? :??:

Are you running Lenovo's Power Manager?

In power manager, system settings, display brightness, set both sliders to high. Apply it, and reboot.
