T60p very high power consumption at idle

I have this 15.4" T60p here, and something just isn't right about it. Fresh install of Win 7 and all drivers. Bios is updated too.
It's drawing 13.5W at idle with minimal brightness on the screen and wireless off. Horrendous! This is close to double of what it should be at.
Any ideas?

It is normal, the lowest power consumption of my T60p 15" UXGA FV under Win7 is about 13.5W too. With XP it consumes no less than 12.8W.
Comparing to my T42p 15" UXGA FV, T60p consumes 2.0-2.5W more. IMO, the main reason is the 945 chipset: it is hot in the area around the north bridge even in idle mode.

You know what, I just double checked on the 15.4 inch T61 with NVS140M graphics, and it's also at 14.4W idle with wireless off! I've also had regular T60's which were probably 8W or so, although they weren't the 15.4 inch model.
Conclusion: it's neither the chipset, nor the video card - it's the screen! What's funny is that my friend's W500 with WUXGA screen idles at 10W or so.
