Hi, while I was upgrading the bios on my T61,the update programm froze, I know it said not to terminate the programm while running...but I had to do ti since it froze....

unfortunatly, now when i turn on the laptop, nothing happens, i know the fan is running the dvd light comes on, but nothing comes on the screen, not even the bios programm,...its totaly black....

any suggestions on how can i restore the previous bios?

here are the things I tried: Remove the batt, the hardisk, the memory, the backup batt, still nothing...

thank you!

just a thought.. try an external monitor , i had the same problem, if so make sure you get the correct bios and then flash again from boot with image file on cd, i am certain others will tell you or search through the threads regarding bios updating.

good luck ian

I did the same think over Christmas only nothing came on (no case lights, fan, DVD lights, etc). Mine was fried good and proper but was replaced under warranty by Lenovo. You might try contacting Lenovo's tech support line or Mark_Lenovo at that "other" site
