Mediafire has taken down some of the linked files. Don't get too excited, the modified BIOSes may no longer be so easy to find.

In layman's terms, what are the effects of these different bios mods? Benefits, added functionality?

The Bios 2.27-1.08 is good for any T61 or T61p, as well as for the R6x models specified.

Well.. I can't make update from bootable CD :/RealBlackStuff wrote:The Bios 2.27-1.08 is good for any T61 or T61p, as well as for the R6x models specified.
I get the error that BIOS can't be flashed over LAN - strange....
Maybe it's due to docking station my Thinkpad sits in???

Re: ThinkPad Modded bioses (SataII, Whitelist, SLIC, etc.)
i had an issue updating the BIOS with the cd too. i removed my win7 64 OS harddrive and used my vista 32 bit os harddrive to do the update and had no issues. just looking for a way to test the sata II speeds.

Enable 'Flash over LAN' or something similar in BIOS.Yacek wrote: Well.. I can't make update from bootable CD :/

Re: ThinkPad Modded bioses (SataII, Whitelist, SLIC, etc.)
This definitely should be made a sticky.
SLIC on a T61p. I almost kept the Thinkpad in storage until I wanted to install Win7. Now it's actually usable. Vista was unusable.
Thanks

Anything like this for the T60 (besides Zender's BIOSes)?
