I am surprised this is not made sticky on every relevant sub-forum here:

Mediafire has taken down some of the linked files. Don't get too excited, the modified BIOSes may no longer be so easy to find.

In layman's terms, what are the effects of these different bios mods? Benefits, added functionality?

The Bios 2.27-1.08 is good for any T61 or T61p, as well as for the R6x models specified.

Well.. I can't make update from bootable CD :/
I get the error that BIOS can't be flashed over LAN - strange....
Maybe it's due to docking station my Thinkpad sits in???

i had an issue updating the BIOS with the cd too. i removed my win7 64 OS harddrive and used my vista 32 bit os harddrive to do the update and had no issues. just looking for a way to test the sata II speeds.

Enable 'Flash over LAN' or something similar in BIOS.

This definitely should be made a sticky.

SLIC on a T61p. I almost kept the Thinkpad in storage until I wanted to install Win7. Now it's actually usable. Vista was unusable.

Thanks

Anything like this for the T60 (besides Zender's BIOSes)?
Thinkpad T60 2623-KEU: Core 2 Duo T5600@1.83Ghz, 2GB RAM, Seagate 250GB HD@7200RPM, ATI X1300, Intel WiFi Link 5300, Zender's modded BIOS 2.25
