How common is V5200/5250 VRAM corruption problem?

I thought about buying a T60p from my friend but having read about the possible VRAM corruption I'm hesitating a bit. It is a nice UXGA FlexView machine otherwise and at really tempting price...

Is this problem like 1 of 1000, 1 of 100 or 1 of 10? Anyone has any experience, clues, information?

Had three of them fail due to VRAM corruption out of...I don't know, maybe 60-70 that I've owned...all on V5200.

Wouldn't stop me from buying another one if I felt I needed it, though...

Good luck.

My guess is that VRAM breaks about as often as DRAM. Sometimes, but not very often. I have seen some on T60 machines, x1300, x1400 and V5200
