Dual monitor on T61 with 1 analog vga port

#1 Post by theflea » Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:28 am

Hi, I'm a web developer and I've always wanted to have a dual (external) monitor setup. My T61 has only one VGA port which I already use for my Samsung LED LCD.
What is the best way to do this? Someone on our local buy and sell site is selling a port replicator, will this help? Or should I look for a mini-dock? Thanks in advance!

The Thinkpad Advanced Mini-Dock will serve you nicely here. It has VGA and DVI ports (the Essential Port Replicator only has VGA).

I was thinking of using the VGA port on the laptop for one monitor and the VGA port on replicator for another monitor. But I guess that won't work. Thanks for the tip on the advance mini-dock.
