Regarding my T60 (2007-57u)...

1) Does anybody know if my T60 (2007-57u) Processor (Intel Dual Core 1.83GHZ) can be Upgraded?

2) Also, I wanted to know if my ATI Mobility Radeon x1300 can be Upgraded or the 512MB Memory Increased?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it can. You can do it quite easily. Just take of the palm rest, keyboard, keyboard bezel and fan/heatsink to get access to the CPU. It takes the T5500, T5600, T7200, T7400 or T7600 CPUs. I'd suggest one of the T5x00 CPU because they're a lot cheaper and run cooler.

How much system memory do you have now? The X1300 I think can do up 256MB by borrowing from the system memory. I could be wrong on that one. I know the X1400 can do up to 512MB if it's got enough system memory. As for the X1300 you're stuck with it unless you want swap the board for the X1400, though I don't know that it's worth the effort.

Upgrading to a T7200 will yield about a 25% performance increase across the board. I had a Z61t I was going to do the exact same upgrade in, but decided to get a T61 instead.
