Battery Help!

My T61 battery has only 161 cycle counts. Yes its the original. I babied it by using the Power Manager software so that it would not cycle when on AC. I did cycle it ocassionally for good maintenance. Problem is I went on a 2 month trip and left the battery in the notebook. Upon return the battery was drained and won't charge! How to fix? Is it possible or did I ruin the battery? Power Manager shows its still in good condition but status is "no activity" which means its not charging?
