Thinking about buying a T61, comparison to a T60p

I'm thinking about buying a refurbished T61, my only real reference is my T60p I'm curious as to feedback on how important that "p" is? What kind of video performance numbers can I expect in Vista/win7?

Which T61 is it that you are considering (which CPU/GPU), and what do you mean by "video performance"?

My T60p has a 1600x1200 screen this has a 1280x800 screen
I'm also wondering how big of a problem it would be to add bluetooth to it. And these I think have the Gigabit that isn't crippled likein the T60p??? Right?

I believe you can add bluetooth (39T0497) ...you might even be able to keep the LCD cable. That can be verified by checking the Thinkpad manual. The Intel graphics is OK but the lower resolution may not look as good as your T60p.

The T61 will be a step back in both display and graphics performance. The WXGA panel is quite a bit below T60p's UXGA flexview, and the Intel integrated GPU is quite slow in 2D and 3D performance. The upsides are the GPU is a power sipper, and it is not a nVidia time bomb.

Neither the 82573L in T60 nor the 82566M in T61 series support jumbo frames.

Jumbo frames up to 9K bytes are actually supported on the 82573L (T60) but not on the 82566MM (T61). However, you may need to use Intel ProSet software, and only starting from version 10.3.
So in regards to Jumbo frames, T61 is probably at least as crippled as T60. FWIW, I don't use ProSet software, and there seems to be no option to enable jumbo frames on my T60.
Edit:
According to this link, you would have to flash the EEPROM to enable Jumbo frames on T60:

Doesn't the T60 have the ability to physically hold 4GB of memory, whereas the chipset can only address 3GB? Hence the crippled GB.
Doesn't the T61 have the ability to address up to 8 GB of memory?

They're referring to the NIC, not the RAM.
